About the Event

The 2nd Voices of the Earth: TIGP-ESS Student Poster Presentation Competition provided an academic platform for graduate students in the Earth System Science programme to showcase their research, exchange scientific knowledge, and engage with fellow researchers, faculty members, and the broader academic community.

The event featured scientific poster presentations and exhibitions covering various disciplines within Earth system science, including atmospheric science, climate change, environmental chemistry, oceanography, geophysics, and related interdisciplinary research.

I participated in this event as both an attendee and a jury member responsible for evaluating five student presenters. In this role, I reviewed their research presentations, engaged in scientific discussions, and assessed their work based on its scientific content, research methodology, presentation clarity, and overall communication of findings.

The poster competition provided opportunities for participating students to present their research objectives, methodologies, findings, and scientific contributions while developing their scientific communication and presentation skills. The exhibition also facilitated constructive feedback, academic discussions, and knowledge exchange among participants.

The event highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research in addressing complex environmental and Earth system challenges, while encouraging academic collaboration and strengthening research engagement within the TIGP-ESS community.
